How it Works
To understand the concept of heat pumps, imagine a refrigerator working in reverse…
While a refrigerator removes heat from an enclosed box and expels that heat to the surrounding air, a heat pump takes the heat from surrounding air and transfers it to water in an enclosed tank.
Heat pump technology makes efficient use of the heat in the surrounding air, even at temperatures as low as -7°C. In fact, this system is so efficient that it can convert 1kW of electricity into over 4kW of heat.

What are STC Rebates and how do I benefit?
To increase the adoption of more environmentally friendly, energy efficient hot water systems, the Australian Government has implemented the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) which is sometimes referred to as “The Solar Rebate Program”. You can take advantage of your STCs by assigning them to the provider of your new hot water system and in doing so, you will receive an immediate point of sale discount on your purchase. Not only will you enjoy the energy cost savings of your new system, your investment will be significantly reduced.
STC Rebate Zones
If you install a hot water system that has gone through the rigorous Government certification process, you will receive an electronic form of currency called “Small-scale Technology Certificates” (STCs).
